HUNTING SAFARIS - PRICING, TERMS & CONDITIONS
We provide hunting and fishing adventures at affordable prices from Townsville, North Queensland for Chital deer, Wild Boars and Estuary Fishing.
We take one to three clients hunting and fishing up to three or four to five days/nights periods, on various properties arriving the afternoon of the day before the hunt and departing the afternoon of the last day.
WESTERN OPTION:- PIG HUNTING - Western Pig properties have rivers, creeks, swamps, acres of pig diggings, big tusky Boars and sometimes Saratoga swimming in lagoons .
The individual daily rate reduces as the numbers of hunters and days increase, the most economical day rate is when there are 3 hunters hunting for 5 days, followed by 2 hunters 5 days, with the most costly day rate being 1 hunter for 3 days, We can quote on your specific numbers of hunters and days, also combination Deer and pig hunts.
NO FEES or limits on shooting - Pigs, Boars, Dingos, Cats, Rabbits.
COASTAL OPTION:- CHITAL STAG HUNTING - PIG HUNTING - FISHING.
On the coast near Ayr, this 3,000 acre property has an estimated herd of 2000 deer, usual hunting time to shoot a good trophy can take up to 3 days/nights for 1 hunter, 4 days/nights for 2 hunters, 5 days/nights for three hunters.
Chital deer killed or wounded each cost $500 trophy fee, plus the safari price, pigs and dingos on the deer property, are available once a deer trophy has been taken, no fees or limits on shooting these, no pointer dogs,stalking only as I don't want to move the deer & pigs off the property, good estuary fishing and crabbing available also.
WESTERN OPTION:- TUSKY BOARS - also some Deer, Dingos, Brumbies, Donkeys, Cats, Rabbits, Clay bird shooting and Saratoga fishing on some properties. More expensive than the Coastal option due to more travelling, higher accomodation charges and property hunting access fees.
All safaris are provided just for the clients who have made the hunt booking date, we don't introduce additional clients to increase numbers.
Prices are in Australian dollars and bookings are taken up to one year in advance, on first come first served basis, public and school holidays are popular and need to be booked well in advance. We prefer emailed records of the details of the hunt requirements and agreements.
Special father and son Package, to foster the future sport of hunting, Father pays full rate for one hunter plus $200 daily charge for son (11 to 17 years) but any deer killed or wounded by son are an additional $500 trophy fee, the Coastal option is best for father and son safaris.
Trophy fee of $500 each deer killed or wounded to be paid in cash at commencement of hunt, fee will be returned if no deer are shot or wounded.
Non hunting/fishing companions cost $200 each per day.
Rifles and ammunition can be supplied at $100 each for the duration of the Safari. If we are using pointer dogs to bale pigs you will need to use rifles with open sights or 1.75 to 6 power telescopic sights to have a wide view of the moving dogs and Boars when shooting, safety and the thoughtful, careful use of firearms is our first priorty.
Payments are by direct debit into bank account in Australia, details available on application.
A Safari booking date is confirmed when all the hunters in the group have paid their $500 non refundable booking deposit and receive acknowledgement email.
Balance of Safari price (less deposit) to be paid 30 days prior to the first day of the hunt, this amount will not be refunded or discounted unless there is another hunter willing to hunt over the period booked, only one safari date change allowed.
Property owners require a no responsibility indemnity signed prior to entering the property stating that the clients are aware of potential dangers involved and accept the responsibility for this risk.
Groups of three clients need to provide their own transport to and from the hunting area, a 2 wheel drive sedan is suitable. Can be rented at the airport and parked at safari camp. Alternativly a hellicopter or light aircraft charter from Townsville or Cairns to the property airstrip, or one or two clients can be picked up in the Land rover tray.
Clients Gear list should include:-
Rifle, ammunition, camera, binoculars, compass, watch, walkie talky radio, G.P.S, LED Headlamp, day pack, nylon parka, dark or camo cotton clothing in summer, warm woolen clothing in winter, hat, long sleeve shirt, long pants, canvas leggings, comfortable boots, personal toiletry bag, alcohol?
We will make continous efforts to provide clients with as many safe opportunities as possible to take game but cannot guarantee success, the Deer, Boars and fish are free ranging and the fitness/skill of the client is unknown. Also weather, good and bad luck can influence the result.
Food is flavoursome and nutritious, bottled water and soft drinks are provided, the accommodation is Bunk house or comfortable camping:- Tarps, tents, stretchers, mattresses, pillows, sleeping bags blankets, towels, chairs, medical kit, ice boxes, shower tent, satellite phone.
Hunt package can include :-
Hunting property, Ayr unit, Bunk house or Camping accommodation, 3 meals a day, our time and effort, Land rover tray hunting vehicle, pointer dogs to assist in locating pigs, pig feed, skinning, venison butchering and packaging, boiling skulls and tusks, freezing deer head skins, tinny, fishing rods reels.
